Norwegian artist and songwriter Peder Elias recently held his first concert in Manila, where he showcased his popular tracks such as “Row Your Boat,” “Who I Am,” “Hey Hello,” and his latest single “Call My Name.” The concert, which took place at the Teatrino Promenade in San Juan City, also featured performances by Filipino singer-songwriter dwta and Singaporean artist LAYYI.
Peder’s visit to Manila was part of his Southeast Asia tour, which also included stops in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. This was his second time in the Philippines, as he had previously visited in October to promote his music through busking. During his stay in Manila, Peder had the opportunity to meet with other Filipino artists, including Maki and the rock band Dilaw, whom he praised for their talent and energy.
The 28-year-old artist’s latest single, “Call My Name,” was launched under Sony Music and is a heartfelt song about being there for someone in their time of need. Peder collaborated with songwriters Alex Charles, Ryan Bickley, and producer Freedo to create this track, which he describes as inspired by Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me.” The song has received positive feedback from fans and marks a significant milestone in Peder’s music career.
Peder’s rise to fame in Asia has been remarkable, with millions of streams in countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, and China. He was named the most streamed international artist in Taiwan in both 2023 and 2024. Peder has also performed in key cities across Asia and has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Bibi, TWICE, Jay B, and MINA.
