Rock legend Joe Walsh has announced the lineup for his eighth annual VetsAid concert, set to take place on November 11 at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. Joining Walsh on stage will be country star Eric Church, iconic band Kool & the Gang, and legendary rock group Toto. This year’s event marks a return to the East Coast for VetsAid, which had its debut in Northern Virginia back in 2017.
The significance of this year’s show goes beyond just the music, as it serves as a homecoming for Walsh’s wife and VetsAid co-founder, Marjorie Walsh. Marjorie, a native of Rosedale, Queens, is the proud daughter of a WWII Air Force veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Speaking about the upcoming concert, Joe Walsh emphasized the importance of family, friends, and faith, stating, “VetsAid 2024 is all about family, friends, and faith. I honor my wife’s family and their legacy of service in her home borough of Queens.”
In addition to his own performance, Walsh expressed his gratitude towards the artists joining him on stage for VetsAid. He thanked Eric Church, Toto, and Kool & the Gang for their support of the event and highlighted the diverse musical offerings that attendees can expect. Walsh emphasized the power of music to bring people together and the importance of supporting veterans who have sacrificed so much for their country.
Tickets for VetsAid 2024 go on sale this Friday, with prices starting at $54.50. All net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit various veterans’ services charities, continuing the tradition of past VetsAid concerts. Previous performers at the event have included music industry icons such as Don Henley, Ringo Starr, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Chris Stapleton, Eddie Vedder, Keith Urban, the Black Keys, and Gary Clark Jr.
The annual VetsAid concert has become a staple in the music industry, bringing together top artists to raise funds and awareness for veterans’ causes. With this year’s lineup featuring a mix of genres from country and rock to pop and funk, VetsAid promises to deliver a memorable and diverse musical experience for all attendees.
