After a two-year hiatus, Sharon Cuneta is making her teleserye comeback with an upcoming series under ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment. The Megastar expressed her excitement about working with the other cast members for the project, although specific details about the series have yet to be revealed.
The announcement of Cuneta’s new project was made during a red carpet rollout event on July 3, where ABS-CBN chief operating officer Cory Vidanes, entertainment production head Laurenti Dyogi, and Dreamscape Entertainment heads Kylie Manalo-Balagtas and Rondel Lindayag were also present.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s On Cue, Cuneta shared her feelings about the upcoming series, saying, “It’s been excitement, joy, na-overwhelm ako, natutuwa ako, kinikilig ako (I’m overwhelmed, I’m happy, I’m giddy). I wouldn’t say there’s more pressure. I would say there’s more desire.”
She also expressed her eagerness to collaborate with the other cast members, hinting at working with some of them for the first time and sharing her admiration for one particular cast member whom she loves.
Cuneta expressed her gratitude for returning to ABS-CBN, emphasizing the importance of being back in her home station and among the Kapamilya family. She reassured fans that her health issues, which had forced her to take a break from showbiz, are now manageable.
The actress’s last TV appearance was in 2022 when she made a special guest appearance on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. In 2023, she starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Family of Two alongside Alden Richards.
