The Philippines’ very own P-pop girl group BINI is making waves internationally as they are set to perform at KCON USA, as announced by the event on Sunday, July 14. The group will be part of the lineup for the pre-show of the “M Countdown” stage on July 27, although the exact time of their performance is yet to be revealed.

KCON is an annual music festival organized by South Korean entertainment giant CJ E&M, with the aim of bringing K-pop to a wider global audience. Apart from the United States, KCON also has stops in various countries such as Japan, Australia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, France, and Mexico. This year’s KCON LA will take place from July 26 to 28 at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles Convention Center, and Gilbert Lindsay Plaza, with the “M Countdown” stage being one of the highlights of the festival.

The “M Countdown” main show on July 27 will feature acts like ENHYPEN, g.o.d, Jo Yuri, ME:I, NMIXX, and TWS, along with other big K-pop names like SHINee’s Taemin, HYOLYN, Jeon Somi, NCT 127, Zico, and rising groups BOYNEXTDOOR, STAYC, Kep1er, and more. BINI is set to join this star-studded lineup, marking a significant milestone in their career.

BINI has been gaining popularity with hits like “Pantropiko” and “Salamin, Salamin.” In June, they were the most-searched musical act on YouTube Philippines, surpassing global icons like Taylor Swift and Beyonce. The group also achieved seven million monthly listeners on Spotify, becoming the first and only Filipino act to enter the platform’s Global Top Artists Chart.

Recently, BINI wrapped up their successful three-night sold-out BINIverse concert at the New Frontier Theater and are scheduled to have regional stops in Baguio, Cebu City, and General Santos City, as well as international performances in Canada. They are also gearing up for an encore concert at the Araneta Coliseum on October 4.

Known as the “Nation’s Girl Group,” BINI officially debuted in June 2021 and is composed of members Jhoanna, Maloi, Stacey, Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Mikha, and Sheena. Their popular tracks include “Na Na Na,” “Lagi,” “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi,” and “Cherry On Top.”
