Mike Heslin, a 30-year-old actor in Taylor Sheridan’s action-drama “Lioness,” has passed away.
His husband, Scotty Dynamo (born Nicolas James Wilson), shared on Instagram that Heslin died Tuesday from an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long battle in the hospital. “Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,” he wrote.
Heslin portrayed Polo in two episodes of “Lioness” season one, alongside Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman. He also appeared in “The Holiday Proposal Plan,” “Younger,” “The Influencers,” “7 Deadly Sins,” and “You Are Never Alone.”
In a tribute, Dynamo described Heslin as “brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel.” He shared photos from their wedding day in November last year.
Dynamo recalled their plans to start a family and how Heslin always felt he was meant to be a father. He expressed gratitude for Heslin’s decision to be an organ donor, which has benefited four different families.
As they approach what would have been Heslin’s birthday and their first wedding anniversary, Dynamo finds solace in knowing that Heslin is in a better place and that heaven has gained another angel.
