How did you become interested in singing?
I became interested in singing when I was three years old. My mother would always tell me that I loved to sing and pose in front of the camera, while my father has a cute story about when I was still a baby. He said that I wouldn’t stop crying until he put a walkman on my ears, and then I would stop crying and fall asleep. This is how my love for music and singing began.
What sets you apart from other singers?
What sets me apart is my ability to easily adjust and adapt to the needs of a song. I can do main vocals and also do back-up, but growing up, that was really my struggle. I was always questioning what I could offer as a singer. However, I am blessed because I found the answer to that question. Princess can do more than just ballads. I can also do rock, rap, and pop songs.

How do you prepare for a performance?
I usually read the entire song I will perform first, then I internalize it. I listen to various versions and then create my own interpretation. This way, when I perform the song, the audience will hear a new take on it. For preparation, I normally do vocalization exercises and regular physical exercise to improve my breathing.
How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
I just ignore them. I don’t let the weak spots in my song performance defeat me. What’s important is to recover and finish it the way I want. If I always think about my mistakes, I will only feel guilty and punish myself. However, I’ve learned that if I handle my mistakes and emotions well, I will learn from them and avoid repeating them.

What is your favorite genre of music to sing?
My favorite genre is ballad, but I also love rap and pop songs. I am inspired by Jessie J and KZ.
Who are some of your musical inspirations?
Gary V, Regine V, Jessie J, KZ, Moira, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Pink, and Whitney Houston.
How do you balance your personal life with your music career?
It’s easy for me because no one is prohibiting me from pursuing my music career. Even as a child, I tried to balance college and singing at the same time, work and singing at the same time, and now, having my own family and singing as work at the same time. I’m blessed that I can use my talent for the glory of God as I serve in the ministry.
Can you describe a time when you had to overcome a musical challenge?
When I won Wishcovery, we were all belters. As the champion, I wondered what they had that I didn’t or vice versa. But in the end, I learned to embrace my strengths as an artist.
What advice do you have for aspiring singers?
Pray persistently and wait patiently. Do your best, and if you stumble, it’s okay because what matters most is that you did your best with no regrets. It’s difficult to constantly think that you could have done better. Just try your best because the outcome will benefit you either way.

What are your long-term career goals as a singer?
My long-term goal is to produce and release my own songs. Ralph and I have written many original songs, so we are praying to release them soon. We want to release songs that will inspire people in all aspects of life. I want to continue singing as long as my voice allows me, whether as a main vocalist, back-up singer, or serving in the worship ministry.
