Offshore Music has just announced the exclusive re-release of one of the most beloved albums by the iconic Pinoy rock band, Eraserheads. For the first time ever, the landmark album “Circus” will be available on high-quality vinyl, remastered from the original analog reels by Bernie Grundiman and printed on Japanese premium gatefold tip-on jacket with the faithful reproduction of the original artwork painting by Mark Justiniani.
Originally released in 1994, “Circus” was an even bigger album than the band’s smash debut “Ultraelectromagneticpop.” The album includes several hit singles that further catapulted the Eraserheads to stardom, including “With A Smile,” “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “Alapaap,” “Magasin,” and “Minsan.” “Circus” is considered to be one of the defining pop music albums of the era and captured the imagination of impassioned teens and college students figuring out what to do with their lives.
Vinyl aficionados, stereophiles, and music fans can now pre-order the limited edition copy of Eraserheads’ “Circus” starting March 12, 2023, but due to the limited 3,500 copies that were pressed, the maximum limit allowed purchase of this is one (1) per customer per address.
The vinyl edition of “Circus” by Eraserheads will set you back P3,900, but with the two-LP set and new liner notes written by Wincy Ong, along with all the classic songs, we’re guessing that it’s going to be worth every peso.
