Who is SunKissed Lola?

The multi-talented SunKissed Lola, a Filipino rock band hailing from Olongapo, Zambales, was formed in the year of 2021. Comprising Dan Ombao as the lead vocals and guitarist, Alvin Serito as the lead vocals and acoustic guitarist, and Laura Lacbain as the lead vocals, this band’s uniqueness stems from the diversity of its members. The band’s formation was initiated during their search for a rehearsal studio around Olongapo City to prepare for a wedding gig. It was on December 13, 2021, when SunKissed Lola was first introduced to the world.

Dan Ombao, who had already made a name for himself by finishing as the third runner-up on the first season of Idol Philippines in 2019, pursued a solo career and continued his music scholarship at the University of the Philippines Diliman. In contrast, Alvin Serito, who placed third overall on the wildcard round of Wishcovery Originals by Wish 107.5, ranking first for YouTube views, joined the band in 2021. The band’s bass guitarist, Danj Quimson, and drummer, Genson Viloria, also joined forces to create this powerhouse of a band.

SunKissed Lola reached new heights of success with their single “Pasilyo” in 2022, which gained immense popularity, breaking records in Spotify Philippines and Billboard Philippines Songs as one of the most successful OPM songs in the streaming era. Their popularity only continued to grow as they released their debut single “Makalimutan Ka” to streaming platforms and later released “HKP” to music sites. Their third single, “Pasilyo,” received unprecedented success and became the first Filipino band to lead the Billboard Philippines Songs chart.
