Shy Singer Khevin Almario, known for his weekly livestream Mellow Mondays with Khevin Almario, launched his newest single “Bakit Ikaw” online in a unique way. Instead of singing on his own show, he was a guest on another program, The Sauce, hosted by Digital Sauce’s owner and co-founder, JM Dumaran.

During the show, Dumaran appeared on the screen and hi-jacked the opening segment. The Sauce has its own opening billboard, followed by a short documentary of Almario’s journey into the music industry. The interview then began, with Dumaran asking thought-provoking questions that Almario answered seriously, yet still with good humor.

The conversation covered the inspiration behind the song “Bakit Ikaw,” why Almario wrote the song, and why he revisited it 20 years later. Fans were excited to know more about the backstory behind this composition. The show also played the unofficial music video of the song Bakit Ikaw, and simultaneously released the song on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music at 9 PM.

Almario was also greeted and congratulated by his “Dabarkads” from Eat Bulaga, including Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, Maja Salvador, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Allan K, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Pauleen Luna and Joey De Leon, among others.

The Sauce is a one-hour show made especially for Almario’s single launch and was produced by Digital Sauce’s owners and co-founders JM Dumaran and Dave Santos, and co-produced by Khevin Almario.
